What is Case Management?
Case Management as a term was probably first introduced in the United Kingdom in the 1990 NHS and Community Care Act. It is said that the origins are from America. In this country the matter of Case Management is where a Social Worker makes sure that Clients in the community are properly looked after. A Private Case Manager is likely to enjoy a whole continuum of activity.
Case Managers come from a variety of backgrounds, including Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists and Social Workers.
