Ms. Gazala Makda:
Gazala Makda prepares reports for the Court, in her capacity as care and occupational therapy expert for Care Providers Limited.
Gazala Makda is a qualified Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of occupational therapy experience in a variety of settings in the United Kingdom, India and United States.
Her occupational therapy expertise spans a variety of specialist fields including trauma and orthopaedics, rheumatology and elderly, paediatrics, neurology (brain injuries, spinal injuries) and perceptual re-training after acquired brain damage.
She is an advisor to Primary Care Trusts and Social Services Authorities on care policy issues. She is also a visiting lecturer to the University of Brighton School of Healthcare Professions Masters Degree (Occupational Therapy) Course.
Gazala Makda's Occupational Therapy qualifications include BSc and MSc Occupational Therapy, Postgraduate Certificate in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Post Graduate Certificate in Cerebral Palsy Treatment and she is an American Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR).
Gazala Makda is a practicing associate of the Academy of Experts and is registered on the UK Register of Expert Witnesses and the Law Society Directory of Expert Witnesses. She is also a Cardiff University accredited Expert Witness (CUEW).
Gazala Makda is a trained and experienced care and occupational therapy expert and has carried out assessments and prepared independent care and occupational therapy reports for claimants, defendants and as a joint expert. She has prepared joint statements under the Civil Procedure Rules and has given evidence in The High Court and County Court.
